January 27, 2011 Meeting
Cynthia Adams, founder of GrantStation, was our featured speaker for our initial meeting of the new year. She presented an overview of GrantStation, including its distinctive functions and searching tips. GrantStation – a version of which is free to GPA members – provides access to a searchable database of private grantmakers, federal deadlines, links to state funding agencies, and a growing database of international grantmakers. September 23, 2010 Meeting
Our speakers for this meeting were Jaime Weller-Lafavor, MSW, manager of grants and foundations for St. Rose Dominican Health Foundation, and Phil Johncock, The Grant Professor. Jaime presented an educational program focused on tools for researching grant opportunities, including Foundation Center, Grant Station, and iWave. Phil provided an overview of the NGPA website and social media tools that will help individuals connect with their grant colleagues and the grant community. June 21, 2010 Meeting
NGPA Education chair Phil Johncock gave an informative presentation about the Grant Professional Certification, the only nationally recognized, professional credential for grantwriters. His presentation also included a proposal for the creation of an online course to help grantwriters who are eligible to apply for their GPC to prepare for the exam.

March 25, 2010 Meeting
This was the founding meeting of the Nevada Grant Professionals Association, presided over by Gail Vertz, CEO of the national Grant Professionals Association. Several dozen grant professionals state-wide participated as the charter was signed, members joined, and officers were elected.
