International GPA
Mission
Established in 1998, the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) is a nonprofit 501 (c)(6) membership association that builds and supports an international community of grant professionals committed to serving the greater public good by practicing the highest ethical and professional standards.
To achieve this mission, GPA:
- Serves as a leading authority and resource for the practice of grantsmanship in all sectors of the field.
- Advances the field by promoting professional growth and development.
- Enhances the public image and recognition of the profession within the greater philanthropic, public, and private funding communities.
- Promotes positive relationships between grant professionals and their stakeholders.
The Nevada Grant Professionals Association proudly supports the international Grant Professionals Association and its initiatives to promote excellence in the profession through:
- Hosting an annual national conference that provides informative workshops, member receptions, funder panels, vendor exhibits, and proposal review sessions. Learn more about the 2010 Conference, scheduled for November 3-6, 2010 in St. Pete Beach, Florida.
- Fostering scholarship through publishing the GPA Journal. The Journal provides a forum for book and article reviews, discussions on best practices, and scholarly examination of the state of the profession.
- Leading the effort to establish a formal credentialing process. Grant Professional Certification Institute (GPCI) was formed as an affiliate organization to GPA for the purpose of overseeing the development of critical standards within an ethical framework that will help define the future of grantsmanship.
